La Misión Rosé 2008

Rosé

60% Carmenère 40% Merlot

Our La Misión Rosé vines grow in San Luis de Pirque, located in the Maipo Valley, which was the oldest viticultural region in Chile.
During the grape growing process we proceed with an early harvest to obtain fresher aromas and a vibrant Rosé.

Winemaking process:

The fruit is briefly macerated from 2 to 4 hours to obtain its deep pink tonality.

Following the maceration, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks during 3 weeks at a constant temperature of 14°C to 18ºC to maintain its freshness.

The fermentation lasts until almost all the sugar is consumed giving a perfect balance with a nervous acidity.

Tasting note:

The La Misión Rosé 2008 presents a beautiful and intense pink color. Behind its characteristic nose of raspberries and wild strawberries appears a hint of ripe red apples. This wine has an excellent balance with an elegant acidity which enhance its freshness giving a good persistence in the mouth.
